The Shining Stars 1-1 20XX-V1

The Shining Stars – Edition 20XX-V1

1 – 1

The Unkempt Lunatic… or not.

I ran for my life, knowing that Igneo was the one behind the mask. Just as I nearly made it to the portal… Oh wait, too far. Sorry, that’s for later. Now you have to listen to the boring stuff.

It was one sunny day, in the year of 2016. I was riding my Techno-Board… Not you again, what do you want?!? You say that 2016 was last year, and that there is no such thing as a “Techno-Board”? Well aren’t you special, you little kid. This is ancient technology, and you better straighten up! Now get back down into your seat!

Ahem.

It was 2016, and the weather was sunny. I was riding my Techno-Board down the allotted path, when Stephan “asked” me to change lanes to be closer to the turn. Now, I had dealt with years of torment from this little guy, most of the details in the future, but just know that he is the ultimate prick. I decided to refuse his request, and the upcoming events were so jam-packed with action, you could never contain yourself! I know I could, as I’ve been through more. But still! Let’s get into i…

WHAT DO YOU WANT!?!?!

Oh. You don’t know what I’m talking about. You want some backstory. Fine, fine fine. It all started with the creation of the Unitiverse. It was looong ago, before ours was created. We still didn’t know much about it, and saying what I know now would ruin the story. So, I’ll leave you with “We are still investigating what happened in this Unitiverse, but we do know…”

It ended with a clash so massive, between mortal and god, that it split the Universe in half. Scared of the consequences this would create, a deity signed a contract with the mortal, who won the clash, to reset the Universe, bring birth to new species, and make the mortal and their bound teammates (the ones they killed) the ones that could potentially revive their legacy.

But there was one flaw. The contract included the gods of purity and glitch to be revived, as the mortal was supposed to team up with them, but went against fate. Because of this, the clash immediately continued after the reset. It ended, once again, with the mortal victorious. The mortal bound both gods in magical crystals, but doing this required sacrifice. It meant the mortal must give their soul, and give up on their conquest. The mortal would have to change the original timeline to force itself to choose the right fate.

The mortal did their part, but once again, there was a flaw. A glitch, perhaps. By having the gods’ fates be bound to a crystal, the tale that the Unitiverse was bound to… changed. It meant that the mortal, in order to prevent it all from happening again, had to trick his or her past self into binding the gods. The mortal changed the story, making the gods more aggressive, less… caring, more… monstrous. The mortal, having done this to the gods, knew he or she had to toughen up their past self. The mortal was fearful, however. Their past self had a connection with one being who could tell who the mortal was. The mortal had to silence them.

After the deed was done, the mortal, wanting to help the next universe, created a goddess, named Harmonia, to guard over the 2 crystals, to make sure that they didn’t go into the wrong hands. To make sure… the seal isn’t broken…

The contract, still the exact same, restarted the universe, dubbing this one: Shining. Harmonia, attempting to protect the crystals, hid them in a remote location. Once a mortal, in clean, pink armor, found them, they accidentally shifted the glitched crystal into the one of purity. The two crystals awakened, and fought again. Harmonia, noticing the chaos, rose and attempted to stop the clamor. She did all she could, but in the end… she had to use her entire life force… to shatter the crystals. Her only hope, the universe’s only hope- was for her to seal herself in a field of crystals, and scatter across the currently orbited planet.

The resulting crystals became known as the Shining Stars, as most of them were originally comets. Each one held a fraction of Harmonia’s power. She, needing all of them in case a god awakened, had all elemental powers imaginable: Weather, Rhythm, Temperature, Conductivity, Hydroelectric, Fate, Fire, Wind, Water, Ice, Storm, Electricity, Deceit, Chrono, Magic, and Control. Since most of those seem to never be found, we’ll focus on the important ones: Weather, Rhythm, Temperature, Conductivity, Hydroelectric, and Fate. If someone got ahold of those, they could recompose Harmonia in the case that she is needed for incredibly powerful deities. Otherwise, the Shining Stars are able to be used to control and/or create their elements. For example, the Hydroelectric Shining Star can be used to flow water or convert water to electric power. It can also turn electricity into solid mass, and freeze or boil water. Essentially, it is incredibly powerful.

Sadly, not everyone can use all of the abilities of a Shining Star. Only the people with the “Blood of Harmony” can be at total balance to use the Shining Stars properly. The Blood of Harmony is hereditary, and only 6 can have it at a time, with the rare exception of twins, who share half. The “Knights of a Lost Timeline” do too, but they…

Anyway, that’s most of what you need to know, right? Right?

Please don’t be dead.

Oh, you’re alive, good.

You passed out from boredom.

Now we have to wait ’till tomorrow to get into the action.

Now, it’s the . . . . . . . . . . . .
